Marlisa

Marlisa is currently an anchor/reporter at WPXI-TV, the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Maryland native is an Emmy-award-winning journalist who began her career in Abilene, Texas. She then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where she exposed Little Rock crime problems, outdated county ordinances and prompted policy changes. Marlisa has traveled the country covering stories like the water crises in western Pennsylvania, the Ferguson shooting and killing of Michael Brown, the kidnapping and murder of real estate agent Beverly Carter, historic flooding in Columbia, South Carolina and the aftermath of deadly Arkansas tornados.

Marlisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Media Communications from St. Edward’s University. During her collegiate years she studied abroad in Angers, France where she attended de Universite de l’Ouest.

Marlisa is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Pittsburgh Black Media Federation.
